Team Phison Forever, by Chace Verity, is the sequel to Team Phison and picks up a year-and-a-half after the end of the first novella. This time Tyson is the point of view character and is dealing with self-worth and abandonment issues as he prepares to propose to Phil.

Tyson picks out a ring and devices an uber geeky proposal using radioactive blocks found in-game to spell out his proposal in a PC game where you play as good werewolves versus evil ones. However, things hit a snag when Tyson meets Judith, his long-lost older half-sister, while playing said game.

This dredges up painful memories for Tyson, since his parents disowned him years ago, and he begins a downward spiral. This is made worse when Judith tricks their father and Tyson into meeting each other at her house. Tyson and his father have a massive fight and he bails on Judith and retreats to his favorite bar with Manny his best friend. They get into an argument about family and Manny leaves Tyson at the bar.

Eventually Tyson is able to work through his issues, patch things up with Manny and Judith, and propose to Phil.

Overall, I loved this book, but I do have one criticism. A lot of Tyson’s issues could have been solved if he talked to people, or to a therapist like Phil suggested. That said, I give Team Phison Forever five out of five stars.
